Opportunity Overview:

An exceptional opportunity is available for a positive, experienced, lateral thinking, motivated AEM and Java Developer with strong operational and leadership skills, technical understanding, collaboration experience and exceptional communication skills.

The successful candidate will be joining a team of highly skilled professionals who will be responsible for the build and operation of one of Australia’s leading e-commerce sites, visited by more than five million people every month. The successful candidate will also utilise the latest cloud technologies and practice the latest DevOps methodologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure best practices are being followed in regards to AEM code using pair programming and code reviews.
  • Coaching / guiding / mentoring AEM developers to drive consistent, collaborative behaviours across multiple feature teams.
  • Reduce ramp-up time for new AEM developers through efficient on-boarding practices.
  • Supporting UXD / BAs / Content team to develop requirements that effectively leverage the capabilities of AEM.
  • Identifying and collaboratively implementing improvement opportunities in the AEM space to achieve best practice.
  • Leveraging Agile ceremonies and Continuous Improvement practices to incrementally address skills and knowledge improvements in AEM.
  • First point of call for AEM across multiple feature teams (triage point).
  • Participate in supporting the solution 24/7 and serve as a point of escalation for AEM technical support requests.

Must Have:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or relevant field
  • At least 2 years experience working with Adobe Experience Manager (or CQ5), preferably AEM 6.1
  • Demonstrated experience of microservices architecture and integration patterns
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring and/or leading developers
  • Exhibit Servant Leadership behaviours
  • At least 2 years Agile experience
  • Experience working in cloud-based environments.
  • Agile development practices such as TDD / BDD, CI/CD, test automation, pair programming etc.
  • Ability to articulate technical issues and solutions to a non-technical audience
  • Strong analytical and technical problem solving skills
  • Application lifecycle management tools such as Atlassian product suite

Nice to Have:

  • Solution design and development experience on complex system integration and/or digital projects
  • Experience on Digital transformation projects.
